A 2-day clinical competency training for behavioral health clinicians providing therapeutic services to the LGBTQI+ population.
In this 2-day seminar we examine the internal and external issues for people who may identify as LGBTQI. We will explore the sexual orientation and gender identity spectra and health disparities for LGBTQI people as well as learning about best practice standards for clinical work with this population. Participant will learn the stages related to coming out and how this impacts clinical work. There will be an emphasis on affirming service for people who are transgender.
CEU’s will be sponsored by Southwest Behavioral Health Management and the Northwest Behavioral Health Partnership. At the time of the training you will be provided with information on how to submit for CEU’s.
