VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, April 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at our University Drive campus in Oakland. Appointments are not required but are recommended. You can schedule an appointment by calling 412-822-3000.
During these clinics, VAPHS will provide the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. This vaccine requires two doses, given approximately 21 days apart.
VAPHS is now providing COVID-19 vaccinations to all Veterans (including those not currently eligible or enrolled in VA care) as well as spouses and caregivers of all Veterans who are 18 years or older. (Spouses are those who are in a marriage, same-sex or common-law marriage with a Veteran, or are a widow or widower of a Veteran. Caregivers are a family member or friend who provides care to a Veteran or helps a Veteran with personal needs like feeding, bathing, or dressing or tasks like shopping or transportation.)
To ensure we can observe COVID-19 safety measures and provide ample parking, if you do not have an appointment and your last name begins with:
Please do not bring anyone into the building with you who is not getting a vaccine unless you need help with mobility or other issues. Wear a face covering and practice physical distancing (6 feet).
Veterans not enrolled in VA health care, spouses and caregivers: you can speed up your vaccination visit by signing up in advance a couple days before your visit at https://bddy.me/3wH3v2U. When you sign up, we will ask for details such as your name, address, date of birth, contact information and preferred VA medical center. We will pull your information electronically when you arrive so you won’t have to provide it again. While we recommend you sign up in advance, it’s not required.
Please note: There is no walk-in clinic at our H.J. Heinz III campus.
