Travel Alert: Single Lane Closures Greensburg - Mt. Pleasant Road

Westmoreland County Department of Public Works would like to advise motorists of upcoming lane closures on the Greensburg – Mount Pleasant Road for a planned resurfacing project.

The closures will occur along the road between the intersection with Sells Lane, City of Greensburg, to the intersection with Westland Drive (Wendover) in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County.

The closures are scheduled to start the week of Monday, October 15th at 7:00 AM and will continue daily (weather permitting) for approximately two weeks.  Work is not anticipated on the Saturday or Sunday unless schedule or weather limitations warrant.

There will not be any posted detours.  The contractor will use a single lane closure, alternating traffic through the work zone with flaggers.  The operation will move along the length of the road, closing segments as the work progresses and opening segments as it is safe to do so.

Motorists are reminded to drive with caution and be alert when entering a work zone.
